Christ Church Singers

Christ Church Singers is our adult choir, and was founded in 1972.  It performs once or twice a month, and achieves high musical and vocal standards in the wide repertoire it sings.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings.  The majority of the choir are volunteers, and many are former choristers or chorister parents.  A strong sense of community is strengthened by regular social events.  Admission is through a simple audition which includes a vocal assessment, ear tests, and music reading.  The ability to read music at sight is not necessary, but understanding notation, and the ability to learn quickly enables members to get the most out of the choir.  

Many members enjoy singing in this choir because it requires a lower level of Sunday commitment than some other church choirs. Indeed, some members travel a considerable distance to take part.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings.
