Christ, Apostles and Children Window
The artisans of this window are unknown, but assumed to be American and probably created in the late 19th century. It was given in memory of Titus Mead, 1807 -1869.
This colorful two lancet window shows Christ blessing the children after his apostles were admonishing people for bringing little children to Christ. This comes directly from Mark 10:14 “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of God.”
Dear God, please give me the presence of mind to have the wonder of a child in seeking to speak with you, to see your world and your work all around me.
Help me to Wonder. Not judge or compare or fear
Help me to Wonder. Not hide or withdraw.
Help me to Wonder and see through your eyes the expansive potential still out there to experience, serve and be grateful for.
Amen.
